Natalie came to us in June 2010 from an orphanage in Cabaret, Haiti, outside of Port au Prince. She had been found abandoned at a market about 3 years earlier and they took her in but aren’t really equipped for special needs children so had asked if we could take her. Natalie is mobile and talks some. She is autistic and it can be hard getting her attention. She had a lot of behavior issues when she first came but does much better now. She doesn’t interact a lot with the other kids but does fine with them. She has her moments when she is in a bad mood but generally is a happy girl. Her favorite thing to do is play with legos - she can sit and build things with them for a long time.
