Janeil Owen has been with Northwest Haiti Christian Mission since he was a child, serving in nearly every area of ministry, particularly NWHCM’s main orphanage. He became Executive Director of the mission in 2007.
He received a B.A. in biblical studies from Cincinnati Christian University and is married to Heather Owen. They have four children: Payton, Josiah, Ruby and Zebadiah. They split their time between their homes in St. Louis du Nord, Haiti, and Versailles, Kentucky.
Magdala Remy – Campus Manager, Saint-Louis du Nord
Magdala Petion Remy came from Port-au-Prince in 1994 to serve as nurse at Northwest Haiti Christian Mission. Prior to that, she worked for years in the clinic and pharmacy at Christianville Mission, a non-denominational ministry in southern Haiti.
Today, Magdala oversees staff and facilities at NWHCM’s main campus in Saint-Louis du Nord. In particular, she manages the large group of nursing staff at the mission’s clinic and birthing center. She is also active in evangelism initiatives and the music ministry at Saint-Louis du Nord’s Citadel Church.
Magdala lives in Saint-Louis du Nord with her husband, Alix, who works as the principal at NWHCM’s primary school there. The couple has six children, three of whom are adopted.
